Revenue Models

Learn about your revenue share for loans, streaming, and sales

Written by Pau Waelder

Generate passive income from your digital collection: Niio offers multiple pathways to monetize your work while you retain full ownership. Your revenue is distributed based on the level of platform resources invested in each transaction.

Earn from direct acquisitions using Catalogs to offer your work for sale or loan:

  • Limited Edition Sales: You receive 85% of the net sale price. For secondary market sales, you receive a 5%–10% royalty.

  • Limited Edition Loans: You receive 50% of the transaction fee.

  • Payment Timeline: Revenue from sales is typically processed within 10 days to a few weeks .

Earn from streaming and public exhibitions by submitting your work to the Niio Curated Art Program:

  • Artcast Subscriptions: You receive a 30% share of the net subscription revenue, divided equally among participating artists in a group artcast.

  • Art in Public: For works displayed in corporate or luxury hospitality spaces, you receive 30% of the revenue. This is considered a temporary loan, and you retain all rights to the file.

  • Payment Timeline: Because these programs involve year-long contracts and subscription cycles, payments are aggregated and may take 6 months to 1 year to finalize.

Remember that all distribution on Niio is non-exclusive. You are free to display or sell your work on other platforms simultaneously, provided you manage your edition numbers consistently.
